Background:
Dr. (Mrs) Olukunle, Oluwatoyin Folake is a Lecturer I in the Department of Microbiology. She holds Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.), Masters of Technology (M. Tech.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degrees from The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Her area of specialization is Molecular Environmental Microbiology. Her research interests include: bioremediation, genomics and proteomics.
Dr. Olukunle is currently the Departmental Examination Officer and the Secretary, Institutional Biosafety Committee, FUTA. She supervises a number of Postgraduate students in Microbiology. She has contributed actively to several conferences and seminars. She has published some learned articles in reputable journals and has won several awards to her honour both locally and internationally including ACU/FCO and TWOWS Scholarship awards.
She is a member, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN), American Society of Microbiology (ASM), Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
