Background I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology of The Federal University of Technology, Akure. I had my first degree in Food Science and Technology from University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria in 1994. The first degree course was for five years, with three and six months Industrial training at the Seven-Up Bottling Company, Nigeria and Fan Milk company, Nigeria respectively at the end of my third and fourth year in the University. The title of my undergraduate thesis was Effect of Drying and Soaking Methods on Quality of Lafun. After the one year compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), I enrolled for Masters degree in Food Microbiology at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. My Masters degree thesis title was Effects of Leaf Packaging on the Microbiological Qualities of some Food items and graduated in 2000. I got my PhD degree in Environmental Microbiology in the same university in 2009. My PhD research was centered on Microbiology of Decomposed Animal Dungs, Crop Wastes and their Evaluation for Plant Growth and Biogas Production. Since then, I focused my research in the area of waste materials to useful products like compost and biogas. I have supervised many undergraduate and post graduate students. I have attended sixteen local and international conferences with twenty nine publications in both on and off shore journals.
